Storm Chasers Lose, 10-1, at Cashman Field
The 3-hit performance of Matt Teed, who is tied for 4th in the PC in RBI with 63, helped the Las Vegas 51s beat the Omaha Storm Chasers, 10-1. The winning pitcher was Mike Newman. He's now 7-7. He went 8.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 9 hits for the 51s. The third-place Storm Chasers now sit at 52-57.

Shawn Atkin had a big 2-run double for the 51s in the bottom of the second inning. With Las Vegas leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from Danny Rosario, who leads the AC in complete games with 6, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the 51s ahead, 3-0.

51s manager Jeff Elgin had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
