The Charlotte Knights stopped the Scranton WB RailRiders, 8-1, at BB&T Stadium. The Knights got a big game from Mark Clardy, who was 1-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Reliever Santiago Aguilera picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Joe Long took the loss. The win lifts Charlotte to a record of 7-6.

The Knights got a big at-bat from center fielder Kevin Howard. For the game, Howard was 1 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave Charlotte a 3-1 lead.
