The Fresno Grizzlies powered past the Omaha Storm Chasers, 9-7, at Werner Park. Chris Runyon provided some of the pop. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Cao-Ky Tran-Thanh closed the door for Fresno, picking up his 17th save of the year. The second-place Grizzlies have a record of 55-56.

Ryan Tribbett came through with a big-time hit for Fresno. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 7-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"This team is headed in the right direction," said Runyon.
