Cubs Grind Out 2-1 Win
Iowa used a superb performance from starting pitcher Fumikazu Nakahama to down the El Paso Chihuahuas, 2-1. The Cubs win now puts them at 51-59.

Iowa used a clutch at-bat from Ben Hoopes to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cubs ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Watch and learn," said Hoopes. "This is what good pitching looks like."
