Las Vegas Gets 7-5 Win
Las Vegas and Nashville duked it out and the 51s came out victorious.

Despite a fine performance by center fielder Jordan Phifer, the Nashville Sounds lost to the Las Vegas 51s, 7-5. Phifer was 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. German Padron earned the save, his 2nd, for the 51s.

It could have been a different outcome for Las Vegas, had it not been for Kevin King, the 22-year old third baseman . King contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Las Vegas up, 2-0.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Las Vegas skipper Jeff Elgin. "It's important to have different ways to do it."

The Sounds, now 39-72, have lost 4 straight.
