Bubba Schmitz, who is tied for 8th in the PC in innings pitched with 130.0, had a strong outing for the Reno Aces against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox at Security Service Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. Reno occupies last place in the Pacific Conference North Division at 45-67.

It could have been a different outcome for Reno, had it not been for Alvin Hessong, the 28-year old center fielder . Hessong contributed a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put Reno up, 5-3.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Hessong told the Reno Today.
