|
Chiefs center fielder Cesar Licon left his mark on his team's 8-6 win over the Charlotte Knights. Licon, who is tied for 4th in the IL in extra base hits with 7, was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for Syracuse in the contest. Matt Arnett, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. Syracuse goes to 9-4 with the win.
Syracuse relied on the hitting of Jay Cool to pick up the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put the Chiefs on top, 2-0. For the game, Cool had 1 triple and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Licon told the Syracuse Observer.
