The Sacramento River Cats picked up a win at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, dropping the Oklahoma City Dodgers, 7-6. Chase Jackson, who is tied for 9th in the PC with a 1.29 WHIP, was the difference-maker. Sacramento reliever Alex de la Rosa was the winner. His record is now 6-6. The losing pitcher was Juan Velasquez. The first-place River Cats lifted their record to 55-58.

Sacramento left fielder Ben Whitney contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a sinker to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 90th hit of the season and put the River Cats ahead, 2-0.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Whitney said.
