Round Rock took on El Paso in front of a lively crowd.

The Round Rock Express defeated the El Paso Chihuahuas, 7-4. Doing his part was designated hitter Joe Larsen, who went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Mike Spearman was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 12 of 16 save opportunities.

Larsen had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count cutter from Aaron D'Uva, he banged a run-scoring double to center, giving the Express a 5-4 lead. It was the 23rd double of the year for Larsen.

"They played a better game than we did," said El Paso skipper Tyler Beckwith.

Round Rock is now 64-51. El Paso is 66-49.
