Memphis wasted a solid 8-inning effort from starting pitcher Jason Doskocil, losing to Sacramento, 2-1, at Raley Field. The loss makes Memphis 57-59.

Sacramento got a knockout punch from Justin Bishop. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

Bishop called the win "a collective effort."
