The Fresno Grizzlies beat the Omaha Storm Chasers, 6-5, at Werner Park. The win was due in part to designated hitter Mike Palmer, who was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Brian Thompson came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 4 runs on 4 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. Rutger Michelle recorded the save, his 4th.

In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Palmer hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.

"This is not a one-man show," said Palmer. "A lot of the guys stepped up."

At 50-66, Fresno is in third place in the Pacific Conference North Division.
