|
Salt Lake pitcher Kevin Plume had a large part in his team beating the Sacramento River Cats, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Roberto Trejo earned the save for Salt Lake, his 2nd of the year. The first-place Bees lifted their record to 70-47.
Had Rafael Cabrera not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Cabrera hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Bees.
"I like the groove we're in," said Cabrera.
