Grizzlies Stick Storm Chasers with 5-3 Loss
The Fresno Grizzlies picked up a win at Werner Park, taking down the Omaha Storm Chasers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Kyle Benites was a big reason why. Benites got the win, improving to 8-10. He allowed 6 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. Benites allowed 3 runs. Steve White was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

Had Dan Brockman not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Brockman hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Grizzlies.

"I liked his command," said Fresno manager Brad Schaenzer. "Kyle was throwing strikes."

The Grizzlies, at 52-66, sit in third place in the Pacific Conference North Division.
