Omaha beat Tacoma at Werner Park, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to designated hitter Steve Porter. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The victory gives Omaha a record of 62-56.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Porter hit a 2-run home run off Tyler Crumley. It propelled the Storm Chasers into the lead, 4-2.

"Steve was ready to go. Big day for him," said Omaha manager Willie Elizondo.
