Security Service Field hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.

Sacramento River Cats starter Troy Anderson pitched a good game to help his team take down the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, 2-1. Anderson picked up the win for Sacramento, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 7-5. Jamie Estrella closed the door for Sacramento, picking up his 16th save of the year.

With scoring opportunities rare, the River Cats had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the fourth, when second baseman Terry Korf hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Jason Dargay and made the score 2-0, River Cats. Korf was 1 for 4.

"Everything felt in sync," said Anderson.

With the victory, the River Cats upped their record to 63-55.
