Senators Handed 6-2 Defeat
|
It might have been a rain-shorted game, but Mets fans didn't seem to mind as long as their team got the win.
The Binghamton Mets earned a win at FNB Field, knocking off the Harrisburg Senators, 6-2. On the bump for Binghamton was right-hander Wayne Spadoni. He had a starring role in the triumph. The defeat makes Harrisburg 4-3.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Adan Ives? The Binghamton right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Mets on top, 3-2. For the game, Ives had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Ives called the win "what playing unselfish baseball looks like."
