Oklahoma City Dodgers starter Chris Cruz turned in a sparkling performance against the New Orleans Zephyrs, leading his team to a 3-2 win. The winner was Oklahoma City reliever Pat Beavers, now 6-7. The loser was Adam McCulley. The Dodgers have now won 4 straight.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when center fielder Tyler Swan, who is tied for 3rd in the AC in triples with 8, hit a triple. The Dodgers went on to win.

"Chris knows how to get ahead of hitters, stay ahead of hitters, and put people out," said Oklahoma City manager Vicente Gutierrez.
