Albuquerque Isotopes starter Matt Taylor turned in a top-notch performance against the Salt Lake Bees at Isotopes Park. The result was a win for the Isotopes, 3-2. The first-place Isotopes lifted their record to 71-49.

The Bees had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Isotopes going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old shortstop Johnny Holton came to the plate. Holton hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch changeup from Salt Lake hurler Nick Dixon. It was Holton's 18th double of the year.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Albuquerque manager Caleb Eldridge. "It's usually not just one thing."
