New Orleans Earns 3-2 Win
|
New Orleans right-hander Cody Ross helped his team edge Oklahoma City by the score of 3-2. Ross kept the opposing lineup in check. Ross picked up the win for New Orleans, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 9-6. The second-place Zephyrs now have a win-loss record of 62-60.
New Orleans took a 3-2 lead on Joel Bednarz's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Bednarz hit in the top of the eighth, left Oklahoma City pitcher Ted Spann visibly frustrated.
