|
The El Paso Chihuahuas withstood an impressive performance by Reno catcher Nick Gough to defeat the Aces, 6-3, at Southwest University park. Gough was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Aaron D'Uva was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 14 save opportunities. The loss makes Reno 28-94.
Oscar Torres, who is tied for 10th in the PC in triples with 6, chipped in for El Paso with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
