Bats Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Scranton WB
|
The exploits of right fielder Nick Griffin, who is tied for 6th in the IL in doubles with 5, helped the Louisville Bats defeat the Scranton WB RailRiders, 6-2. Griffin went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Mike James earned the save for Louisville, his 1st. Scranton WB falls to 4-11.
Noah Henderson, who leads the IL in RBI with 14, helped out the Louisville cause in the top of the first inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 4 with a walk.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Griffin told the Louisville Gazette. "But we take nothing for granted."
