The Tacoma Rainiers got a superb performance from pitcher Chris Bell, but the Las Vegas 51s still won the game, 4-3. Bell threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball. Justin Henning, now 1-2, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 5 and walking 1. Las Vegas goes to 65-59, Tacoma to 59-65.

The 51s relied on pinch hitter Yutaka Higashi for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Higashi said.
