The Las Vegas 51s knocked off the Tacoma Rainiers, 9-3, at Cashman Field. Matt Teed was a big reason Las Vegas won. The catcher was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Mike Race picked up the win, lifting his record to 13-6 on the season. He struck out 6 and walked 4 in 8.1 innings, while yielding 3 runs. Las Vegas is now 66-58, Tacoma 68-56.

In the bottom of the sixth, Teed put his team in front with his 20th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Mel Valdez, made it 5-3, Las Vegas.
