The Reno Aces scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the El Paso Chihuahuas at Southwest University park. Reno pitcher Arturo Ventura held his own in the contest. Ventura got the win, improving to 1-12. He gave up 7 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Hector Casares recorded the save for Reno, his 2nd of the season.

Reno used a clutch at-bat from Wally Haines to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Aces ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
