Sky Sox Secure 4-1 Win
|
Danny Urista pitched a gem in leading Colorado Springs to a 4-1 victory over the Omaha Storm Chasers. Colorado Springs is now 54-71, Omaha 58-65.
The Sky Sox got a big hit from first baseman David Rowe. Facing Omaha pitcher Michael Hess in the bottom of the fifth, Rowe pounded a 2-run double to center. His 28th double of the season put the Sky Sox ahead, 4-1.
In postgame remarks, Rowe hailed his team's "grit."
