The Salt Lake Bees defeated the Reno Aces, 4-2, in Pacific Conference action at Aces Ballpark. Salt Lake pitcher Casey Collins had a standout performance. Collins got the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Collins allowed 2 runs. Eduardo Astudillo was called on to finish, recording his 4th save.

Salt Lake relied on the hitting of Jimmy Powell to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bees on top, 3-2. For the game, Powell had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"Good win for us," said Collins. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."

Salt Lake, at 61-65, holds down last place in the Pacific Conference South Division.
