Aces Get Past Salt Lake for 3-2 Win
Salt Lake got a terrific performance from pitcher Ruben Perez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Reno Aces. Reno won the Aces Ballpark contest, 3-2. Perez threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. Reno reliever Adrian Castro picked up the win, raising his record to 2-3. Daniel Pethoud was tagged with the loss. Reno, now 59-68, holds down third place in the Pacific Conference North Division.

Reno took a 3-2 lead on Byron Levin's 30th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Levin hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Salt Lake pitcher Daniel Pethoud visibly frustrated.

"The other side played a good game," said Salt Lake manager Aaron Hunt. "You tip your cap to them."
