El Paso and Tacoma got after it at Cheney Stadium.

The Chihuahuas grabbed a win, 5-2, at Cheney Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Tacoma pitcher Aaron Heddings. Heddings went 7.1 innings and allowed 4 runs. Arturo Robles sewed up the save, his 10th.

Early in the game, shortstop Chris Alwine had a 2-run home run for El Paso. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Chihuahuas on top, 2-0.

"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Tacoma manager John Conway.

El Paso is in last place in the Pacific Conference South Division with a record of 61-66.
