Grizzlies Drop Aces, 4-2

Fresno Grizzlies starter Bryan Brown pitched well against the Reno Aces at Aces Ballpark, leading his team to a win, 4-2. Brown, who is tied for 9th in the PC in strikeouts with 147, went the distance for Fresno. He gave up 2 runs on 9 hits. The Grizzlies have a one-game lead in the Pacific Conference North Division.
Fresno used a clutch at-bat from Jason Schroeder to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Grizzlies ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Coming in, from the get-go, I knew my stuff was good," said Brown.
