Dodgers Trump Sky Sox, 4-3
|
The Oklahoma City Dodgers knocked off the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, 4-3, in American Conference action at Security Service Field. Oklahoma City pitcher and Cabral, Dominican Republic, native Jordan Roman had an outstanding performance. Roman picked up the win for Oklahoma City, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 1 hits. He now sports a record of 13-2. Mitsuyasu Kume closed out the game, earning his 3rd save.
Oklahoma City used a clutch at-bat from Aaron Rego to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dodgers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Oklahoma City skipper Vicente Gutierrez. "I can't complain."
The Dodgers improved their record to 76-52 with the win over Colorado Springs.
