Sky Sox Win at Iowa, 2-0
|
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox got a magnificent performance from pitcher Ken Poole, who muffled the Iowa offense en route to a tight, 2-0 Sky Sox win at Principal Park. Jason Dargay earned the save for Colorado Springs, his 9th. Colorado Springs is now 49-79.
Casimir Lewczak, the Colorado Springs shortstop, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to make the score 1-0, Sky Sox. For the game, Lewczak went 1-2 with a walk.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Lewczak. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
