Munoz Hits 2 home runs in 51s Win
The Las Vegas 51s trumped the Salt Lake Bees, 11-5, at Smith's Ballpark. Las Vegas third baseman Omar Munoz was terrific. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Nick Tracey got the win, improving to 7-6. He worked 9 innings, giving up 5 runs on 12 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 1. Las Vegas bumps their record to 68-60 with the win.

The Bees had been locked in a 5-5 tie with the 51s going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 36-year old center fielder Yutaka Higashi came to the plate. Higashi hit a 3-run home run on a first pitch changeup from Salt Lake hurler Carlos Filpo. It was Higashi's 26th home run of the year.

"Enjoyed this one," Munoz told the Las Vegas Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
