A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Sacramento River Cats and Tacoma Rainiers.

Justin Paglione pitched a gem to lead Sacramento to victory over the Tacoma Rainiers, 9-1. The second-place River Cats now have a record of 65-65.

In the bottom of the second, Sacramento left fielder Steve Lunstrum had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Lunstrum stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 2-0, Sacramento. For the game, he went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times.

"Justin was Justin," said River Cats manager Damian Rivera. "He gave it all he's got."
