Cubs Take Home 3-1 Win Over Oklahoma City
The Iowa Cubs picked up a win at Principal Park, courtesy of Paulino Aldana. The right-hander helped his team stop the Oklahoma City Dodgers, 3-1. Aldana, now 10-11, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Dave Buskey earned the save for Iowa, his 11th of the year.

The Cubs got a big at-bat from center fielder Greg Schramm. For the game, Schramm was 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 21st double of the season gave Iowa a 2-1 lead.

"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Aldana.

The Cubs, at 67-64, sit in second place in the American Conference North Division.
