Chihuahuas third baseman Kurt Jones left his mark on his team's 11-3 win over the Sacramento River Cats. Jones went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for El Paso in the contest. The third-place Chihuahuas lifted their record to 62-70.

The Chihuahuas got a gift in the bottom of the second inning, when they were leading 1-0. With one out and the bases loaded, David Cortez reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run. It made the score 2-0, El Paso.

"We came out aggressive," said Chihuahuas manager Marvin Jimenez. "We came out swinging the bats."
