Gwinnett Braves starter Wayne McQuillan pitched his team past the Buffalo Bisons, 3-1. Fred Noffsinger earned the save, his 5th. The loss drops Buffalo to 10-6.

Gwinnett used a clutch hit from Jake Cummings to get the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Braves ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Cummings.
