Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Matt Mountain, the Reno Aces lost to the El Paso Chihuahuas, 2-1, in 10 innings. Mountain threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The setback makes Reno 58-74.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when El Paso second baseman Tomas Pineda, facing Will Cascalho, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Chihuahuas the 2-1 win.

"The crowd went nuts," Pineda said.
