Chihuahuas Topple Aces, 3-2
|
Jeff Homewood pitched well, but the Reno Aces still lost the game, falling, 3-2, to the El Paso Chihuahuas at Southwest University park. The win was credited to 22-year old right-handed pitcher Bill Spencer in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Jeff Homewood took the loss. With the victory, the Chihuahuas record stands at 66-67.
El Paso took the lead, 3-2, on Dave Preston's 15th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Reno pitcher Jeff Homewood in the bottom of the seventh.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Preston said.
