Sky Sox Take Tight Tilt, 4-3
The Omaha Storm Chasers were defeated, 4-3, by the Colorado Springs Sky Sox at Security Service Field, even though Jonathan Polk pitched well for Omaha. The win went to Tony Torro in relief. His record improves to 2-6. Jonathan Polk took the loss. The win puts the Sky Sox at 50-84, while the Storm Chasers drop to 81-53.

The Storm Chasers had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Sky Sox going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Joey Puente came to the plate. Puente hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch fastball from Omaha hurler Jonathan Polk. It was Puente's 13th double of the year.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Puente told the Colorado Springs Bulletin.
