The Tacoma Rainiers defeated the Reno Aces, 10-4. Doing his part was second baseman Eric Hemphill, who was 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Tacoma pitcher Jorge Santana got the win, upping his record to 9-6. Ryan Pfaltzgraff got the loss. Tacoma is third in the Pacific Conference North Division with a record of 69-65.

Hemphill contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Tacoma in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Hemphill took a changeup from Ryan Pfaltzgraff and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Rainiers to leap in front, 5-3.

"Winning is always a team effort," Hemphill said after the game.
