New Orleans beat Omaha at Werner Park, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Silvério Lorme. He went 1 for 2 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Francisco Quintanilla was the winner. Over 5 innings, he yielded 4 runs on 5 hits, with 5 walks and 4 strikeouts. The Zephyrs saw their win-loss record go to 72-63. At the same time, the Storm Chasers fell to 74-61.

Lorme contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for New Orleans in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 4-2, Lorme took a slider from David Quinones and stroked the home run to right-center. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Zephyrs to leap in front, 5-4.

Lorme told the New Orleans Observer: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
