Knights Thwart RailRiders, 4-2

Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Charlotte Knights got the win.
Scranton WB second baseman Nick Rich had a good game, even if his team did not. The RailRiders dropped a 4-2 decision to Charlotte at BB&T Stadium. Rich hit 2 home runs. Jose Tapia snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-0 on the season. Jordan Craig suffered the loss.
Charlotte took a 4-1 lead on Bill Rivera's 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Rivera hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Scranton WB pitcher Jordan Craig visibly frustrated.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Rivera told the Charlotte Bulletin.
The Knights are off to a nightmare start as they look to defend their championship, notching only their 5th win in 16 games.
