RailRiders Lose Big to Knights, 11-1
The Charlotte Knights scored a convincing win at BB&T Stadium, defeating the Scranton WB RailRiders, 11-1. One of the hitting stars was Ben DePue, who leads the IL in home runs with 5, who went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. The win puts Charlotte at 11-5.

With Charlotte leading 7-1 in the bottom of the sixth, DePue came up to bat against Scranton WB pitcher Jeff Elliot. DePue hit a cutter to right for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Knights on top, 10-1.

Scranton WB manager Steve Schwab summed up his team's performance in one word: "Pathetic."
