Zephyrs Losing Streak at 5 After Extra-Inning Loss to Storm Chasers
The Omaha Storm Chasers outlasted the New Orleans Zephyrs, 8-6, in 12 innings. Omaha left fielder Sam Gilpin stood out with his performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Omaha pitcher Matt Woods got the win, upping his record to 3-4. Yuichiro Hamano got the loss. Brad Hager earned the save, his 1st, for the Storm Chasers.

Omaha relied on the bat of Matt Huseman to get the win. The shortstop ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Storm Chasers ahead, 7-6. For the game, Huseman had 1 double and 2 triples in 6 at-bats.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Huseman.

Omaha is now 73-61, while New Orleans is 80-56.
