Sacramento Beats Salt Lake in 10-Inning Thriller
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Sacramento River Cats and the Salt Lake Bees, 25-year old left-handed pitcher Ethan Sanders was the difference-maker. The Sacramento left-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win in 10 innings. The River Cats improved to 78-58.
In the bottom of the tenth, Jose Pacheco stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Bees were trailing 3-1, but had runners on 1st and 3rd. That's when Mel Arreola made a terrific pitch and Pacheco lined out. Gone was the dream of a Salt Lake comeback.
