Bees Get Better of River Cats, 3-2
The Salt Lake Bees picked up a win at Smith's Ballpark, knocking off the Sacramento River Cats, 3-2. On the mound for Salt Lake was left-hander Paul DeHoff. He played a key role in the triumph. DeHoff yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 10-12. Vince Beer closed it out for his 1st save.

The Bees got a big hit from shortstop Esteban Castellanos. In the bottom of the sixth, Castellanos smacked a 2-run home run off Sacramento pitcher Mike Kelley. It was his 13th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Bees were ahead, 3-2.

"Paul had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Salt Lake manager Aaron Hunt.

The Bees now own a record of 56-80.
