Aces Come Back Late to Clip Chihuahuas
|
The Reno Aces and El Paso Chihuahuas put on a pitchers' duel.
Ryan Pfaltzgraff, who is rated as the 63rd best prospect by BNN, was in top form in a tight contest between Reno and El Paso. The Aces right-hander helped his team beat the Chihuahuas, 2-1. The loss makes El Paso 66-70.
Reno relied on the bat of Nate Humphery to get the win. The left fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Aces ahead, 2-1. For the game, Humphery had 2 doubles and 1 triple in 3 at-bats.
"I like what I saw today," said Reno manager Jose Heredia, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
