The Columbus Clippers defeated the Buffalo Bisons, 6-3, at Huntington Park. Leading the charge for Columbus was first baseman Juan de Leon. He was 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs. Dan Lash, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 5 innings. Columbus sits at 8-7.

Had de Leon not come through in the bottom of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, de Leon hit a 2-run single. The Clippers took the lead, 5-3, and never looked back.
