Cashman Field was the site for Pacific Conference action featuring the Las Vegas 51s and Reno Aces.

The Reno Aces powered past the Las Vegas 51s, 9-8, at Cashman Field. Josh Leazer went 3-5 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2, to lead the charge. The winning pitcher was Scott Barksdale. He's now 2-2. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 5 runs on 9 hits for the Aces.

The result might have been different, had it not been for Pat Mancini, the Reno center fielder. Mancini had a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Aces ahead, 9-6. For the game, Mancini had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"Guys always talk about winning games because of the 'little things,'" Mancini told the Reno Observer. "Call me old fashioned, but I think baseball is about the big things -- like scoring more runs."

Reno now sits in last place in the Pacific Conference North Division at 37-102.
