New Orleans wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Roberto Serrano, falling to the Round Rock Express, 4-3. Serrano threw 9.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Mike Spearman notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on no hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 8-6. Round Rock now sits in first place in the American Conference South Division at 77-62.
The Express procured the win, in large part because of third baseman Travis Huffman. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Huffman.
