Las Vegas Carves Out 6-5 Win
The Las Vegas 51s knocked off the Reno Aces, 6-5, in Pacific Conference action at Cashman Field. Las Vegas pitcher and Long Beach, California, native William Arce had an outstanding performance. Las Vegas reliever Chris Horan picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Adrian Castro absorbed the loss. Las Vegas, now 73-66, holds down third place in the Pacific Conference South Division.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 24-year old third baseman Matt Teed had a chance to be the hero. Reno pitcher Adrian Castro had other ideas. But with one out, Teed hit a sacrifice fly. The 51s had themselves a dramatic win.

"William's a gamer," said Las Vegas manager Jeff Elgin. "Glad he's on our side."
