The Reno Aces used an offensive barrage to beat the Las Vegas 51s, 11-1, at Aces Ballpark. Steve Martin led the way, going 3-for-4 for Reno. The Aces saw their win-loss record go to 62-78. At the same time, the 51s fell to 78-61.

Ryan Horvath had a big 2-run home run for the Aces in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Reno leading 3-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 28-year old left-handed pitcher Paul Dudley and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Aces on top, 5-1.

Las Vegas manager Jeff Elgin summed up his team's performance in one word: "Pathetic."
