Faustini Shines, Shuts Out Nashville, 5-0
|
The Nashville Sounds were almost helpless in their 5-0 loss to the New Orleans Zephyrs and hurler Justin Faustini. Faustini kept the Sounds confused all game, spinning a 2-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to Faustini," Nashville manager Victor Santillanes said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 29-year-old left-hander had 4 walks and 7 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Faustini said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
