The Salt Lake Bees grabbed a win, 6-4, over the Tacoma Rainiers at Smith's Ballpark. Salt Lake second baseman Clark Beach went 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Vic Correa, the winning pitcher, is now 9-11. He went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 3. Eduardo Astudillo earned the save for Salt Lake, his 6th of the year.

The Bees got a big at-bat from right fielder Roger Adkins. For the game, Adkins went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 27th home run of the season gave Salt Lake a 2-0 lead.
