The Reno Aces spoiled a good performance by Las Vegas shortstop Carlos Bolanos, bumping off Las Vegas, 9-7, at Cashman Field. Bolanos went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Paul Cowles was credited with the save, his 1st in 2 tries. Reno's winning streak has reached 4 games.

Bobby McKee had a big 2-run home run for the Aces in the top of the first inning. With Reno leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a sinker from Ming-hoa Sha and swatted a home run to center. It was his 14th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aces ahead, 3-0.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said McKee.
