The Las Vegas 51s defeated the Reno Aces, 6-3, in Pacific Conference action at Cashman Field. Las Vegas pitcher Tim Tynes had a standout performance. The win puts Las Vegas at 76-65 this season.

In the bottom of the first, Nick Angelo delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Las Vegas left fielder hit a 3-run home run, putting the 51s in front, 6-3.

"The team always comes first, so pulling out the win on a day like today is the most important thing," Tynes told a reporter while responding to autograph requests. "Our fans like to come out to see a win, so I'm happy to do what I can to give them that."
