The Potomac Nationals topped the Lynchburg Hillcats by a score of 12-4. Leading the way was right fielder Melvin Padilla. Padilla went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Nationals. Potomac, with the win, is 3-0.

Potomac won the game in part because of German Castro. The designated hitter ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Nationals ahead, 2-1. For the game, Castro had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Potomac skipper Cruz Mares.
