Senators Trip RubberDucks, 6-4, in Extra Innings
|
No one was more impactful than Enrique Alamilla in an extra-inning, 6-4 Harrisburg win over Akron. Alamilla, who is tied for 5th in the EL with a .312 batting average, went 2-5 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Harrisburg reliever Pete Pritchett picked up the win to move to 1-1. Jeremy Bess suffered the loss. Harrisburg raised its record to 34-20 with the win.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the tenth. With Harrisburg trailing 4-3, Alamilla jumped on a fastball from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Jeremy Bess and hit a 3-run home run to left-center. With one swing, the Senators had a walk-off win.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Alamilla.
