Columbus Topples Indianapolis, 4-1
|
C.J. Tomlinson had a 3-RBI game, during Columbus's 4-1 triumph over the Indianapolis Indians. Tomlinson contributed 1 single, 1 double, and 1 walk to his team's cause. The win went to Adam Newman in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Scott Connell took the loss. The Clippers, at 30-41, sit in last place in the West Division.
Columbus took a 4-1 lead on Tomlinson's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Ben Minnich in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Columbus to the win.
"I feel honored to be a part of this team," said Tomlinson.
